KATE CRONJE

CONTRACT LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR (LPC) AND REGISTERED ART THERAPIST (ATR)

Not taking new clients at this time.

I am passionate about helping individuals/families from all walks of life take control of their experiences and strengths to give them the power to grow. I maintain a broad spectrum of approaches and techniques to assist in reaching goals through treatment.  We will spend time understanding your experiences and why, so you can start making changes to improve your life today.

My work with children and adolescents aims to provide experiential lessons such as: cause and effect, problem-solving, decision-making, and finding ways to apply these skills in their daily lives. I will offer the chance to create meaning through visuals and communicate through them to open a dialogue about situations that are hard to deal with and might otherwise feel too overwhelming to express.

RESIDENT IN COUNSELING:
Supervisor: Tamara Allen, LMFT. VA License #0717001586

Therapy is exploring alternatives. It can be an opportunity to identify and address what holds us back. When there are obstacles blocking our way, it can blur our self-image, worldview, beliefs and relationships, creating pain, anxiety, fear and loss. My goal is to provide a collaborative, safe space where you can verbalize your concerns and navigate the challenges.

There are moments in everyone's life that contribute to feelings of loneliness, helplessness and overwhelm. As a counselor, I believe we process emotions and changes differently and individualized attention is essential.
